Peppermint Balls
Yum!
INGREDIENTS
1/3 cup light corn syrup
3 teaspoons pure peppermint extract
8 oz chocolate especially made for dipping
1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 pound powdered sugar
INSTRUCTIONS
- In large mixing bowl thoroughly combine corn syrup and melted butter
- Add peppermint extract and blend
- Gradually, stir in powdered sugar until well blendfed and a soft "dough" forms
- Roll between hands into approximately 1/2-inch balls; place balls on waxed paper.
- Let the balls stand at least 3 hours, until set. Don't refrigerate!
- When the balls are set, melt the chocolate and coat the balls completely and place on waxed paper until the chocolate hardens.
- Store in tightly sealed container.
